🏅 FeralFam Athlete Bio

Born in Chicago during an era of legendary Bulls, Bears, Fire, Sky, and Blackhawks championships, a love for sports came naturally. From an early start in tennis and gymnastics to picking up basketball, volleyball, ping pong, bowling, and biking, athletics have always been at the heart of life.

By 15, the gym became a second home — a place of discipline, growth, and escape from the challenges of jail, gang life, and mental illness that surrounded the community. Sports and exercise, alongside academics, became tools for survival and success. Volleyball and fitness, in particular, were key in balancing the stress of nursing school with a healthy social life.

Today, the journey continues with a renewed focus: confronting obesity head-on while embracing movement through walking, volleyball, and training in a home gym. With bariatric surgery on the horizon, the plan includes leaning into yoga, stretching, and strength training to stay strong, healthy, and confident throughout transformation.

The mindset is simple: keep trying new things, from volleyball to lifting to someday even golf — always moving forward, always getting better.
